I am a photographer currently based in my homeland of Aotearoa New Zealand. I trained as a photographer, graduating in 2005 with a Diploma in Photographic Imaging from Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, NZ. I'm a self taught videographer/editor/storyteller and have worked in journalism and for a science research institute over the past 10 years. My love for the outdoors has been with me since I was a young girl, having adventures in the mountains, skiing and snowboarding, it's by far the one place I feel most at ease, free and happy.  I worked with the Aotearoa coordinator through my work and when she told me about Girls* on Ice I immediately wanted to be involved. I would have loved having access to such an opportunity as these expeditions when I was young, so, to help young women now, is a great privilege.
