Ko Mel Harris toku ingoa. 

I have always enjoyed being outdoors and being able to share experience in the natural environment with others. When I found out I could work in the outdoors as an instructor, I knew that was for me. I have been working as an outdoor instructor in various locations ever since then. I grew up in Otautahi (Christchurch) but call the North Island Central Platau area home.

Outside of work, I enjoy adventuring and exploring the outdoors through various pursuits (especially tramping), trying to grow things in my veggie garden, and hanging out playing board games.
