Pronouns: She/Her/Elle
I am passionate about creating opportunities for people to feel connection - to themselves, other people, the environment, opportunities, you name it! I’ve spent much of my adult life working with youth in outdoor settings; as a summer camp counsellor & tripper, zip line guide, whitewater canoe instructor, and global travel trip leader. Alongside my work with G*OIC I also work for an Outdoor Adventure College in Banff, Alberta, helping young people get started in their dream outdoor careers.
I am continually learning and expanding ways to make my facilitation practice as trauma informed as possible, because I have noticed that people are the most able to truly dive in to every experience if they feel safe participating as their whole selves.
That love of helping people feel prepared has lead me to a support role in the outdoor world. I take care of all of the little details that help a trip feel intentional and inviting. You may not see me out on trips as often anymore (or maybe you will, I like to volunteer as a Gear Fairy, and help our Onsite Coordinator with food preparation if time allows - one of my love languages is snacks!) but you’ll definitely see my name in your e-mail inbox checking in on whether you have everything you need, and need to know.
