Behind the Scenes: Finding a Location for our Newest Expedition in Alaska
Our newest Alaskan expedition, Girls in the Forest, will explore wildfire and boreal forest ecosystems via packraft near Fairbanks. Expedition participants will learn how to navigate rivers to access remote burned forests, studying the necessary and important ways wildfire contributes to the health of the ecosystem.
Adventure of Science at home public event September 10th, 2020.
Adventure of Science is hosting an at home public event on Thursday September 10th 2020 from 13.00 to 18.30 (GMT+6).
Together with the UNESCO Almaty cluster office, Adventure of Science: Women and glaciers in Central Asia is organizing an online event to wrap up this years' Adventure of Science program. The event includes a summary of the Adventure of Science at home program by participants and instructors and a series of presentations by invited female speakers.They will address the topic of gender equality in scientific and technical domains, give insights into their work as scientists and professionals in the domains of Climate Change and Environmental Protection and show examples how to bring science to society via Citizen Science projects.
