Hannah Pillon

Geographer, International Mountain Leader

As a geographer, I’m passionate about understanding spatial dynamics, using ressources wisely and efficiently, as well as having a penchant for a well-designed map. I currently work as a spatial planner in the Haut Valais, with a focus on alpine tourism projects. Also a qualified mountain leader and ski instructor, I love sharing the outdoors with others, especially those who may not have easy access to such opportunities, helping them to challenge themselves while deepening their knowledge and appreciation for their environment. All of this combined makes me very excited about being a part of Girls* on Ice, which brings together the three things I love: mountains, science, and creativity. 

When I’m not up a mountain, behind my laptop, or driving my scooter through all kinds of weather, I quite enjoy knitting, reading, playing squash, or listening to theology lectures. If I had to reinvent myself, I couldn’t decide between being an interior designer or a judge, which is why I’m sticking to all things geography for now.
