Originally from Colorado, I grew up with a general appreciation for the outdoors and recreation. It took a severe case of mountain-sickness (like homesickness, but for mountains) during college for me to realize that my values and priorities most closely aligned with a lifestyle set in and around mountains and wilderness. I am so grateful that this realization brought me to Alaska and changed the trajectory of my life. For the past nine years I have had the pleasure of sharing some of Alaska’s wildest places with clients as a wilderness guide. When not working in the backcountry, I head right back out on personal trips and expeditions. I’m excited to help facilitate female mentorship in science, art, and mountain travel!
