Girls* on Ice showed me that geology is a fascinating field with so much left to discover. That experience inspired me to study geology at the University of Bern, where I am currently enrolled. In my free time, I enjoy being active, especially outdoors, for example cycling, hiking, or jogging, but I also like indoor activities such as swimming. In 2021, I had the opportunity to participate in the Girls* on Ice Expedition in Switzerland. It was an amazing experience that I will always remember. After the expedition, I led several workshops at my former school and volunteered multiple times as a gear fairy. These experiences gave me the chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people with similar interests, and talk about science. As a network coordinator, I am happy to support former participants in furthering their careers by connecting them with a strong and helpful professional network.
