I’ve been kayak guiding with Inspiring Girls* Expeditions since 2023 working with Girls In Icy Fjords and Girls on Water (2025). I’ve been drawn to Inspiring Girls Expeditions because its mission weaves together a lot of my passions. Outdoor expeditions have been a part of my life since I was a kid and working with organizations that focus on creating accessibility and inclusivity in adventure programming has been a passion of mine since I entered the field of outdoor education in 2015. 

My first expedition with IG*E awoke my curiosity and developed a drive to learn more about glaciers, and the ecosystems around them. Since then I’ve taken every opportunity that comes my way to learn more bout the world around me. I’m excited to continue that learning as I continue working with IG*E.

Our mission towards promoting and celebrating diversity within the sciences and the outdoors resonates with me deeply as it aligns with my personal values and my professional ethics within my master’s degree in social work. My professional life both in the outdoors and in urban environments has been about supporting individuals in lives they want to lead navigating the  barriers in the way.
