Casey Brown

Wildlife Biologist

pronouns: she/her/hers

I am a wildlife biologist at the Alaska SeaLife Center. I earned my PhD from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Biology and my master's degree from Colorado State University in Ecology. I study the effects of climate change on wildlife movement and behavior. I am passionate about teaching and have been involved in wilderness education programs for over a decade. I enjoy instructing Inspiring Girls courses because they offer a combination of exploration, camaraderie and they are lots of fun. In my free time, I enjoy any form of skiing (especially with my dogs), climbing mountains, gardening and floating rivers.
