Physical Geographer, Adventure of Science Coordinator and Instructor

As a Swiss kid, I was lucky to grow up with nature never too far away. Some of my best memories are of going on ski tours through the mountains near my home. During these moments, I developed a deep curiosity about how the natural world works and how people adapt to their environments.

Through my studies in Geography and my research work in glaciology at the University of Fribourg, I have met people who challenged, encouraged and inspired me. This has opened up incredible opportunities for me to study the cryosphere in amazing places, ranging from Greenland and Patagonia to Central Asia. It also taught me how important role models and programs like Adventure of Science are.

I first travelled to Central Asia through my work with Adventure of Science, and the program changed my life. It introduced me to amazing people, showed me the joy of sharing my passion for icy environments, and reminded me that the greatest adventures are built on teamwork.
