I am a physical geographer and currently work in the Geomorphology Research Group at the University of Fribourg. Geomorphology studies the Earth’s surface, its origin, and its evolution. In our work, we focus on the dynamics and development of mountain slopes, especially in periglacial regions. My current research is centered on the inventorying and analysis of rock glacier dynamics. Their systematic study is essential for a better understanding of processes in mountain permafrost conditions and for the creation of consistent global datasets of the cryosphere.
I am inspired by our planet, I love it and want to take care of it. That is why the Adventure of Science Project is close to me in spirit, as it engages new bright minds in caring for the future of our planet. The more people understand the world around them, the greater the chances that we will preserve its amazing nature for future generations.
