Challenge yourself, build your mountaineering skills, and learn about and support Inspiring Girls Expeditions by participating in our Mount Shuksan Fundraising Climb.

Inspiring Girls Expeditions and Alpine Ascents International are excited to team up this summer to climb the Sulphide Glacier on Mount Shuksan while raising funds to support Girls on Ice Cascades, an Inspiring Girls Expedition.

“I can do what I want to do, if I believe in myself I can do it. We climbed a glacier [thousands of] feet in the sky, that was pretty amazing and I don’t think I would have ever believed I could have done that without this program. It was funny and memorable, and difficult and hard but I loved every moment of it.”

Inspiring Girls Expeditions have changed the lives of well nearly 300 girls and women from across the US, bringing out their natural curiosity; inspiring their interest in science; connecting the arts and sciences; and empowering and encouraging trust in their physical, intellectual, and leadership abilities in an inclusive and less competitive atmosphere free of gender roles. Girls on Ice expeditions combine mountaineering adventure with authentic scientific field research, artistic observation, and leadership skill building led by teams of professional glaciologists, scientists, artists, and mountaineers. By climbing Mount Shuksan with this team, you will get a sense for the Girls on Ice experience, while building your own skills, courage, confidence, and curiosity to explore high mountain landscapes.

Details of the expedition may change due to weather and glacier conditions!
