Getting an undergraduate degree in physics resulted in me being the only girl in a majority of my courses. Inspiring girls expeditions is helping to change that and that is why I am passionate about being a part of this organization. The combination of empowerment, mentoring, building relationships, discovering yourself and your potential both physically and mentally is a life changing experience.
After completing my MS at the University of Alaska Fairbanks studying Yahtse Glacier I began working on my PhD at the University of South Florida. I study connection between hydrology and ice velocity of the Greenland Ice Sheet by direct observations and modeling of the subglacial drainage system. When not working I enjoy my pets, rock climbing, billiards, scuba diving, and skiing.
