About your donation

Our program is tuition-free. We try hard to make this program available to any girl who is chosen for the team, regardless of her family’s economic situation. We provide all equipment and loan specialized clothing; we provide all transportation and lodging to and from Seattle or Fairbanks during the program. Although the girls are asked to pay for their transportation to Seattle or Fairbanks (sometimes a girl’s school or other educational organization will cover this), we do our best to provide this support as well if needed.

Many of our girls go on to study science in college (biology, geology, engineering, environmental science, and more!), and several have completed Master’s and Ph.D’s. Those who don’t study science still leave with the confidence, critical thinking skills, and foundation in science to succeed in whatever path they choose.

Although any amount is a wonderful gift, consider

Supporting our program-wide leadership team: a $90,000 gift will allow us to expand our leadership team to include a new full-time assistant director.

Sponsoring our post-expedition mentoring program: a $10,000 gift will help us provide continued mentoring for one team of nine girls years into the future. We help with college decision making, identifying internships, and other ways to set these girls up for future success.

Sponsoring an instructor training session: $5000 will provide 5 instructors with a 2-day intensive workshop.

Sponsoring one girla $4000 gift will support one girl on this learning adventure.

$1000: Help with transportation! We rent vans to drive up to the mountains.

$250: Mountain support! Climbing rope, backpack, sleeping bag.

$100: Keep a girl warm! Puffy jacket, base layers, rain gear.

Our organization is growing!

We have new expeditions planned, but need the funding to make them happen!

Every year we get more applications than we have available spots. Your generous donation gives us the ability to expand and provide these programs to more girls from all around the world!

Upcoming: Girls on Rock (Utah), Girls on Rivers (Utah), Girls on Water (Alaska), and Girls on Ice - Canada
